OUT 823 ILLI MO (A&E) BITZ

HEY OUTTOWNERS!!!

TIME TO GET TOWNED!!!

Before we get into the bitz, we almost forgot to put our regular spotz on here, MIA and BLIND PICZ, so we are posting them first(Blogger doesn't let you insert in spots if you forget to spot them. LOL).

IN THE MIA FILE. What happened to Soul Stylz promoter Cornell Boone (PICTURED ABOVE) ? We know that he has expanded his brand to the Kansas City, Mo. market, but we haven't seen him promote any events in the STL nor have seen him out and about in the STL. We also found out that his assistants Jamie Spencer and Sarah Bryant no longer works with Soul Stylz. So we would like to know what's up!

BLIND PICZ. Who was the guy wearing the black ten gallon hat and the sista wearing pink house slippers last Saturday outside the Edward Jones Dome during the Gateway Classic game?

AND NOW TO THE BITZ:

The BIG NEWZ STORY THIS WEEK is President Barack Obama’s likeness was parodied in the season premiere of “The Cleavland Show” last Sunday on Fox. Corus, the network that owns women-targeted digital channels W and Viva, will bring
OWN: the Oprah Winfrey Network to Canadian cable soon after its Jan. 1, 2011 launch in the U.S. And in unrelated O news, her syndicated TV show competitor Judge Judy" won a ratings verdict over "Oprah" last season to rank No. 1 among daytime series.According to Nielsen figures, Judy Sheindlin's courtroom show averaged 6.3 million daily viewers, compared with 5.7 million for Oprah Winfrey's talk show. "Judge Judy" became the first show to knock "Oprah" out of the top spot in a decade ( "Judge Judy" also was the show that beat Oprah ten years ago as well) The reason for the slip was that Winfrey relied on more reruns than usual last season, which affected her ratings.

STL based Grammy Award winning rap mogul Nelly revealed recently that he almost retired from the rap game after the death of his sister. He said in 2005 when he suffered the loss of his sibling then his grandfather to
cancer ahead of making his fourth album 'Brass Knuckles'.

Nelly told MTV: "I lost my sister in 05 and almost didn't make it back. That's a lot that people didn't know. Even when I was going into 'Brass Knuckles' it was just, aiight. "I lost my sister and six months later I lost my grandfather. Both of them the same way different diagnosis but both of them was due to cancer.

"And we had done so much to try to find a donor for my sister. I don't know if you ever had someone ailing from cancer in your family, but it's some of the most disheartening things to watch people go through so much pain and not be able to do anything about it.

"I don't know if you ever had someone ailing from cancer in your family, but it's some of the most disheartening things to watch people go through so much pain and not be able to do anything about it."

He added: "To have so much. So much money, so much things that you can basically buy your way out of it, but this thing here you can't get a grasp on it for nothing in the world.
"And I never
lost anything in my life that close to me, never, ever, ever. And this is the person that took care of me."

As the saying goes, "Money can’t buy happiness. "

As far as the charts, the song moves up one spot from No. 8 to No. 7 on this week's Billboard Hot 100 charts totalling six weeks on the chart. For the past three weeks, the song has moved from No. 7 (at its first peak) then fell to No. 8 now its back up at No. 7. the song still has its bullet so it still has legs to move up the chart. We predicted the song will peak at No. 3 so, let's hope the song will start moving upward in the Top 5 within the next two weeks. And FYI, the song just cracked the Top 10 on Billboard's Top Rap Tracks at No. 9

At the same time. the Cardinals lost to the Pirates 7-2. The Cards are now playing the remaining four games they have left with the Pirates (Sept 30), and the Rockies (Oct 1-3) all played home at Busch Stadium.

Meanwhile three of the Cardinals’ stars Albert Pujols, Matt Holliday, and Adam Wainwright made career feats at the tail end of its season.

Albert Pujols had two hits and got his NL-leading 117th RBI during the Monday's game with the Pirates.

Matt Holliday reached the 100-RBI mark, last Thursday over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

AND

Although there will be no shot at 21 wins for the Cardinals pitcher, Adam Wainwright due to an injury on his elbow Friday and ending his season before the actual season ends, in that game with the Cubs, Wainwright gutted out his 20th win (tying his record from last year) and still has to be considered a front runner for the Cy Young Award.

Guess the third time performing her in St. Louis was not going to be the charm for R&B singer Lyfe Jennings. His concert that was scheduled for last Saturday at Duck Room inside Blueberry Hill was cancelled after the singer got sentenced last week to 3 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges to driving under the influence, fleeing and attempting to elude police, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and discharging a weapon near a street stemming from charges in Oct 2008. Jennings, who served 10 years in prison after being convicted of arson in 1992, performed twice prior in St. Louis. The first was at the Loft in April and the second was at the Ambassador in August. Lyfe tweeted that it would be his last tweet in a long while and thanked his fans for his career and that it was over. However, from reports Lyfe may just do a third of his sentence or a year.

WORDZ TO THE WHYZ???????????????????????????????

Why did Bishop Eddie Long compare himself to David of the David and Goliath story in the Bible? Why did the scene at Bishop Long's church during his brief speech looked very Rev Jim Jonesish? Why does the lawsuits against Bishop Long from the young men seemed more about revenge? Why did the PR folk at Dancing with the Stars try and make it seem as though the crowd was not booing when Sarah Palin was in the audience? Why is there gonna be Snooki masks for Halloweeners? Why didn't no one attend the Gateway Classic this year? Why did Fantasia say to a female VP at her record company that she would tongue kiss her for agreeing to her music video concept on a recent episode of her reality show? Why does rapper Wocka Flocka sound like he just learned English? Why did Kimora Lee Simmons tweet a pic of herself on how she looks like when she first wakes up in the morning Why do peddlers beg for money at fast food drive ins? Why isn't it suprising Mike Tyspn doesn't have dance rhythm in the Wayne Brady music video parody of Bobby Brown's "Every Little Step.?" Why hasn’t Tyler Perry harped on the Cleavland Show making fun of him like he did when the Boondocks did it? Why does Illnois have a law against giving away free beer and didn’t participate in Budweiser’s National Beer Wednesday ?
